This drink is a summertime favorite for me. Living in the Midwest, we don’t have year-round access to watermelon; so when summertime comes around I am always so excited to prepare this drink. Although I developed this recipe myself, it transports me to those tropical places of which I am so fond. I enjoy making this drink because it is so refreshing and has just the right amount of tartness I love in a drink.

A cool watermelon drink with an awesome lime zing

Ingredients

  

• 4 cups Fresh Watermelon cut into 1-1½inch cubes
• 1 cup Frozen watermelon cut into 1-1½ cubes
• Juice of 2 limes
• Lime zest of ½ a lime

Equipment

• Blender

Method

 

1. Blend fresh and frozen watermelon with the lime juice and zest until smooth and frothy
2. **optional** If you prefer less pulp strain the juice through a strainer or sit and let pulp settle to the top before scooping out with a spoon.
