Sorrel/Sobolo Recipe

Cool and refreshing fruity drink

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Dried Hibiscus Flowers
  • 1 ½ inches Ginger
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 10 cups Water
  • ¾ cup Sugar

Method
 

  1. Peel ginger and cut into small chunks. Crush with a large knife to bruise it and release juices
  2. Add ginger, cinnamon, hibiscus, and water to a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat

  3. After 10 minutes of boiling allow the flowers to steep with the spices until cooled to room temperature
  4. Store in a container and served strained either refrigerated or warm
